The history of MK Solutions has begun a long time ago

I remember that cold, overcast evening well..

Outside my grandfather’s the wind howled through the treetops and the heavy rain was pounding on the windows, while I sat in his favourite armchair and watched the merrily dancing tongues of flame in the fireplace.

To this day I can still feel that safe natural warmth, calm, the smell of burning wood and the taste of the delicious hot chocolate my grandmother always made me in a big red mug.

My grandfather Anthony was a stove fitter, and as far back as I can remember he was building stoves and fireplaces.

Whenever I didn’t have school, I was helping him with small jobs. I loved it, because I knew that I was helping to make something very good. Also, I could always count on another mug of sweet hot chocolate.

I thought it would be always like that. Unfortunately, after several years Grandfather began to have health problems, the world changed and the work changed as well. Satisfied customers continued to admire the quality of fireplaces but it was getting harder to get the orders.

More and more often I began to ask myself: Who needs a fireplace in the era of central heating?

Two years passed by but, despite my insistent attempts, our situation did not improve and I began to lose faith in what I was doing. I decided that I had to do something.

In my line of work, the classical is always battling with modern styles, but in the end the winners are always reliability, beauty and sefety.
